On 26 November Perth Poetry Club entertains you with the measured and evocative phrases of ROSE VAN SON and the powerful lines of local slam favourite 'OFA BENNESS. Plus open mike. Professional sound. Listeners, poets, songwriters and curious drop-ins welcome. 2-4pm at The Moon Cafe, 323 William Street Northbridge.
Rose van Son loves where language takes her. She is a poet and prose writer and has been widely published. In 2011 she won the Fremantle Press Tanka Prize. She has also won prizes for Haiku, essay writing and short fiction, including the KSP Short Fiction Prize. In 2010 she judged the Julie Lewis Poetry Prize. Her poetry was commended in the Karen W. Treanor Award and Spilt Ink prize. Her collection of work with Sunline Press will be launched soon!
