10 Dec 2011: Elio Novello, Scrutineer of Splodge + AFTER-PARTY
Underlords of Evil Tonsil and After-party
Mark your diary! Perth Poetry Club's last show for 2011 on 10 December will feature two of our favourite Underlords of Evil Tonsil, ELIO NOVELLO and THE SCRUTINEER OF SPLODGE, plus friends and surprises (and, before you ask, yes, there will be open mike, as always) and will be followed by our infamous annual AFTER-PARTY at the pleasant abode of Marcus and friends in Charles Street, North Perth (if you need the address, please ask or email). BYO drinks. We will be providing food but you're welcome to bring finger food to share.
Perth Poetry Club will resume on 14 January.
Scrutineer of Splodge is a semi-matured poet edging towards vintage, instructed in the finer arts of Um by an anthology of interlocutors of ill repute and dubious character. (Bio collectively written by Marcus, Helen, Neil and Janet, with heated debate)
Elio Novello is a contemporary of the Scrutineer. Elio is another semi-matured poet edging towards vintage, but poorly practised in the finer arts of Om and Um. Stuttering and spluttering on occasion, Elio will give his perspective on journey - birth, life, death, spirituality, the environment.
There are bound to be surprises when Elio and the Scrutineer take over the final gig of the year.

A writing course that may interest poets: The Writer’s Passage 2012 is a year-long journey into working creatively with the great myths, legends and literary works that form the poetic heritage of humanity. It is not an intellectual study, but a living recapitulation of human experience through the practice of creative writing.
